How Long Do Sausages Take To Fry?
To fry sausages, heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the sausages gently in the oil for 10-12 minutes, or until they are fully cooked, flipping them often throughout the cooking process. It’s also possible to bake sausages in the oven (which is a nice technique to employ if you’re already cooking anything else in the oven).
What Kind Of Sausages To Cook In The Air Fryer?
In the air fryer, you may make whatever kind of sausage you like.
If you’re making thin breakfast sausages, they’ll be ready a tiny bit sooner than thicker breakfast sausages, but not by a significant amount. Cook 10 breakfast sausages for 8-10 minutes at 400°F for a total of 10 breakfast sausages. They will be browned on the surface and completely cooked on the inside when they are done. Prior to cooking, there is no need to make any holes in the casings of these sausages.
Cooking Italian sausages in my air fryer, especially the good thick ones with fennel and red pepper flakes inside, is something I really like doing. The fryer basket can hold up to 6 of these at once when placed in a single layer in the fryer. Cook them for 9-12 minutes at 400°F, or until the exterior is well-browned and the interior is no longer pink. Similar to bratwurst and fresh (not cured) kielbasa, other thick fresh sausages such as chorizo are also available.
The other kind of sausages that you may cook in your air fryer are fully-cooked sausages that just need a little color and heating through to be fully-cooked again. When I make kielbasa, I slice it approximately 3/4 inch thick and place the slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. Cook them for 4-5 minutes at 400°F, or until they’re lightly browned in spots, until they’re done.
